A band of siblings who were once robbers, thieves and killers of the west, decide to fulfill their fathers dying wish of abandoning their life of crime and pursuing the path of the holy.
Synopsis Trail Blazers 2022
A brutal battle takes place at sundown atop a rocky hill in the desert of the Old West. We are introduced to the warring factions, Owen's Family, the "Faithful Ones" and Haden's Gang, a roving band of dark, criminal marauders. The battle ends with key people on each side severely wounded. The two groups go their separate ways to regain their strength. Owen (played by Robert Wagner), has suffered a knife wound to the belly and is taken away to be healed by a Native American tribe the family has befriended over the years. John, the leader of Owen's children (played by Antonio Sabato Jr.), calms his siblings, Eli (Lorenzo Lamas), Ezekiel (Scott Baio), Abraham (Ronn Moss), Matthew (Michael Dudikoff), Gabriel (Robert Rabiah), Ethan (Kevin Sorbo) and Hannah (Kaya Jones). As Owen is being taken away on a stretcher by the Indian warriors, he instructs his children to rescue their mother, Josephine (Deana Martin), and take her back to town so she can continue her work there. He then begs his Faithful Ones to flee once their mother is safe and go to the hills, find mentors in the tribes, in other towns, and prepare for what will eventually be a massive war between the two groups. The adult children tearfully bid their father farewell, not certain if it may be the last time they see him alive.
Immediately they run to their mother, who was tossed down the side of the hill during the skirmish. She is devastated to learn of her husband's wound and allows her children to take her into the Town With No Name, their home, to get medical attention.
As it turns out, the Town With No Name was originally a little place in the desert with a single rough-house type saloon, a few rickety shops, and it was the home of all sorts of sordid people who were considered the dregs of society: ex-criminals, gamblers, drunks, insane people, whores, all the unwanted ones. When the Faithful Ones showed up years ago, they helped change the fabric of the town, bringing hope and faith. They taught the townspeople how to respect each other and love God and seek a higher purpose. In their own way, they become almost the royal family of the Town With No Name. Haden (Dean Cain), who is actually the nephew of Owen, is committed to the dark side. All he strives for is a life of crime, murder, thieving. It is his primary objective to take the town away from the Faithful Ones and amass the townspeople as his own personal army of criminals.
As time passes and the Faithful children train, meditate, realign, Haden continues a murderous rampage, his commitment to evil and revenge deepening. Haden finally decides to move in and take over the town and has a dark plan to get the children of Josephine and Owen to return home so that he can kill them all once and for all. He knows that in doing so he will seal his commitment with the dark forces and be a powerful, wealthy criminal, able to do whatever he wants anytime he wants.
This all leads to a terrifying battle between Haden and his gang and the Faithful Ones. It is the ultimate battle between good and evil, between darkness and light, between God and Satan himself.
